Scientist II, LNP Platform

Role: Scientist II in the LNP Platform team, focusing on formulation and process development for nucleic acid-based lipid nanoparticle drug products. Responsibilities include executing experimental plans for LNP formulation, purification, and characterization; optimizing processes via DOE experiments; troubleshooting technical issues; documenting procedures and results; and preparing technical reports. The role involves hands-on laboratory work in lipid nanoparticle formulation, emphasizing high-quality execution, compliance with SOPs, and risk identification. Qualifications: BS or MS with 5+ to 7+ years of experience in formulation science, lipid delivery systems, or biologics process development; practical expertise with nucleic acid or LNP formulations; strong documentation and troubleshooting skills; ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines. Preferred: experience with complex/nanoparticle formulations, biological formulations development, and nanoparticle characterization. High-value: focus on lipid nanoparticle formulations for nucleic acid delivery, within biologics development; GxP compliance; laboratory execution; and collaboration within project teams. Work setup: based in Worcester with on-site laboratory work.
