Scientist II, CRISPR-X - Gene Insertion

Role: Scientist II focused on developing next-generation CRISPR-based gene editing and immunology therapies, primarily exploring gene insertions and synthetic immunology approaches within CRISPR Therapeutics' innovative research team. Responsibilities: lead design and optimization of molecular biology research, including cloning, NGS, and cell-based assays; leverage immune cell biology for construct and target design; interpret literature and develop translational assays to evaluate gene editing and CAR T strategies across in vitro and in vivo models. Requirements: Ph.D. in biology, bioengineering, immunology, or related field with 2-5+ years of experience (or 10-12+ years relevant experience without PhD); hands-on expertise in gene editing technologies, CAR T cell engineering, and molecular biology techniques; strong problem-solving, scientific communication, and independent working skills. Preferred: experience with protein/RNA engineering, advanced CAR T cell development, delivery technologies, and in vivo studies; mentorship experience is a plus. High-Value: gene editing platforms (CRISPR, recombinases, transposons), immune-oncology focus (CAR T), translational research, genome editing in human T cells, experimental design for human disease indications.
