Scientist II β€” Product Development Science and Technology (PDS&T) Analytical

Responsibilities:
- Independently design, execute, and interpret critical experiments; modify plans as needed.
- Learn/master new experimental techniques; mentor others.
- Use analytical techniques for R&D on small-molecule drug products, APIs, intermediates, starting materials, impurities, and impurity profiling.
- Support new product development: methods development/validation, technical transfer packages, and technical data for regulatory needs.
- Improve test methods for marketed products; perform investigations.
- Perform lab research/method development autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Draw conclusions and design follow-on experiments from multidisciplinary data; may initiate meaningful new investigations.
- Process/interpret/visualize data; communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Demonstrate scientific initiative and maintain lab productivity.
- Develop testing procedures and implement analytical control strategies.
- Follow corporate standards for safety, material handling, controlled substances/radioactive compounds (as applicable), and GxP compliance.

Qualifications:
- BS (7+ years) or MS (5+ years) experience.
- cGMP and current regulatory requirements knowledge.
- Strong analytical chemistry background; independently develop and troubleshoot methods.
- Experience with HPLC method development and spectroscopic techniques.
- Computerized data handling, data analysis, and statistical approaches.
- Ability to multitask, meet timelines; detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team.
- Strong written/oral communication.

Preferred:
- Degree in Analytical/Physical Chemistry or Biochemistry; knowledge of organic structure/functional groups and modern spectroscopy.
- Lab automation; contract lab/external supplier experience; lab investigations.
