Scientist I, Histology

Role: Scientist I supporting preclinical histology in a biopharma setting, aiding drug development programs through tissue sample processing, staining, and analysis. Responsibilities: plan and execute tissue collection, embedding, sectioning, and histologic/immunohistochemical assays; coordinate specimen handling and documentation; perform microscopy, imaging, and data summarization; ensure quality control and safety compliance; maintain equipment and reagents. Requirements: Bachelor's in Biology or related field with 8+ years (or Master's with 5+ years) laboratory experience; proficiency with microtomes, cryostats, automated stainers, microscopes; extensive experience in IHC/IF, assay validation, troubleshooting; strong project management and communication skills; advanced computer skills. Preferred: Histotechnology certification (HT/HTL), experience with RNAscope/miRNAscope, multiplex IHC/IF, LIMS/ELN familiarity, digital pathology.
