Role: Scientist I, Analytical Development, supporting cell therapy projects within ImmunityBio's biopharma R&D team. Objectives: develop, optimize, and validate bioassays for NK and T cell therapies, contributing to process development and product characterization. Responsibilities: perform cell-based assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation, ADCC), develop potency assays, maintain analytical equipment, create SOPs and batch records, and support cross-functional teams in advancing NK cell therapy programs. Qualifications: Bachelorโs degree with 8+ years or Masterโs with 5+ years in immunology, cell biology, or biochemistry; experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD, RT-qPCR, and cell therapy (NK cells preferred). Skills: proficiency in mammalian cell culture within BSL2 settings, analytical method development, and troubleshooting; strong communication, critical thinking, and data analysis skills. High-Value: focus on immunotherapy and cell therapy platforms for cancer, including development of biologics and cell-based products in preclinical or clinical stages. Work setup: onsite in Torrey Pines, CA; laboratory environment; occasional lifting. Compensation: $110,000โ$121,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.
