Role: Scientist supporting research and development within MaxCyte's Gene Editing Sciences team, focusing on genomic safety assessment assay development and laboratory operations. Responsibilities: execute off-target discovery, genome integrity, and editing outcomes assays; develop, optimize, validate, and transfer genomic safety protocols; analyze and present data; maintain mammalian cell cultures; perform CRISPR-based cell editing; operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; author SOPs and support quality processes; train junior staff and drive continuous improvement. Requirements: Ph.D. in molecular biology, genomics, or related field (0-2 years) or B.S./M.S. with 4-6 years relevant experience; expertise in NGS, chromosomal rearrangement detection, off-target methodologies; molecular biology proficiency (PCR, qPCR, ddPCR); experience with primary human cell culture, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry.
