Role: Lilly seeks a Manufacturing Scientist/Engineer – Technical Operations to support and lead shift activities in their innovative Medicine Foundry, focusing on small molecule, biologics, or hybrid processes. Primary objectives include executing and overseeing manufacturing operations, supporting process transfer and validation, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities encompass on-floor process support, troubleshooting, equipment qualification, incident investigations, and collaborating across teams (Process Engineering, R&D, HSE) for process transfer and startup activities. In the pre-startup phase, contribute to operational readiness, tech transfer, and training; post-implementation, provide technical oversight, process support, and lead incident investigations during manufacturing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate’s in science, engineering, or technical field, with 5+ years’ relevant pharma manufacturing experience in small molecules, biologics, or mixed modalities, including process validation, incident investigation, and procedure authoring. Preferred skills include experience in R&D support, GMP environment, project management, and knowledge of FDA guidelines and lean principles. High-value biopharma details: facility startup, process transfer, equipment qualification, on-floor process execution, and cross-functional collaboration. Travel is minimal (~5%), with on-site work at Indiana locations, supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
