Role: Scientist in Early Bioprocess Research focusing on preclinical vaccine programs at AstraZeneca, contributing to the development of novel vaccines targeting viral pathogens. Responsibilities: design and execute studies for screening and optimizing computationally designed vaccine candidates, carry candidates through purification, characterization, formulation, and stability testing; develop analytical assays (e.g., BLI, SEC-MALS, DLS, HPLC, DSF); troubleshoot processes and results; document findings for regulatory submissions and tech transfer; collaborate within matrix teams and with external vendors; operate and maintain lab instruments. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related field, with 4+ years of experience (MD 2+ years); strong protein analytical skills; experience with recombinant protein expression and purification preferred; familiarity with AI tools advantageous; excellent communication and organizational skills; demonstrated troubleshooting and multi-tasking abilities.
