Role Summary
Weβre seeking a Scientist on the Research/Biologics Team with broad knowledge in molecular biology and cell biology to help expand options for patients with serious and rare diseases. The role involves developing and screening novel AAV gene therapies to support Insmedβs growing AAV pipeline, reporting to the Senior Director of Research, and collaborating with peers across the research organization to bring therapies to patients in need.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers within AAV gene therapies and broader research teams to evaluate AAV gene therapy candidate properties and function
- Participate in designing and producing novel AAV gene therapies candidates
- Develop cell-based biological assays
- Author and review protocols, electronic notebook entries, technical reports, and scientific publications
- Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results
Qualifications
- Required: Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences discipline (must be conferred by June 2026)
- Required: Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular biology
- Required: Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with in vitro assay development
- Required: Experience working with AAV
- Required: Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive problem-solving attitude and strong willingness to take on new challenges
- Required: Exceptionally self-motivated and independent
- Required: Excellent organizational and communication skills
Education
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field (conferred by June 2026)

- Travel: Minimal travel expected
- Location: Bridgewater office; in-person presence required
