Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate digital records of research protocols, procedures, study data, inventories, and reports.
- Collaborate with principal investigators, scientific staff, veterinarians/technicians, IACUC members, facility managers, and animal care technicians on in vivo discovery R&D.
- Conduct research and medical treatment regimens for research animals under veterinarian guidance.
- Administer injectable and inhalation anesthetic agents under veterinarian guidance.
- Independently identify study/project hurdles (operational, technical, scientific) and propose solutions.
- Manage study timelines/objectives; ensure data accuracy in corporate databases/tools.
- Communicate study results and data interpretation to cross-functional teams.
- Comply with Animal Welfare Act, The Guide, 3R principles, FDA and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Animal handling and dosing experience.
- Some technical/scientific skills; willingness to learn the R&D process.
- Ability to recognize challenges and contribute to problem-solving.
- Proactive, innovative, solution-oriented mindset; strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, regulatory standards, and an inclusive workplace.
- Readiness to work weekends on rotation.
- Certifications (not required): e.g., CVT, ASR, ALAT, LAT, LATg, CMAR.
Required skills:
- Animal handling/welfare, clinical research/sciences, biotechnology research, lab documentation, regulatory compliance, blood specimen collection, equipment use/validations, detail-oriented.
Compensation/benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $87,300.00–$137,400.00; eligible for annual bonus/long-term incentive (if applicable).
- Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, compassionate and sick days.
