Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct experiments, analyze results, and interpret data.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and protocols; present study results at team meetings.
- Develop, optimize, and implement in vitro and ex vivo mechanism-of-action and therapeutic validation studies to advance the early pipeline.
- Conduct laboratory-based experiments to deepen understanding of cardiometabolic disease biology.
- Develop and implement assays to evaluate potential therapeutics for pre-clinical pipeline advancement.
- Organize, analyze, critically interpret, and properly document experimental design and data.
- Present research findings in written and oral formats for internal teams and external collaborators.
- Stay current on relevant literature to inform experimental design and analysis.
- Assist in maintaining lab equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD.
- OR Masterโs degree with 3+ years of experience.
- OR Bachelorโs degree with 5+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in molecular and cell biology techniques related to cardiometabolic disease biology.
- Experience with immortalized cell lines and primary cells.
- Extensive experience with cell-based, molecular, and biochemical techniques, including live cell imaging and image processing; RNA isolation/qPCR; protein immunoprecipitation; immunoblotting; ELISA; flow cytometry.
- Hands-on experience with cell line engineering (CRISPR and lentivirus-based stable cell line generation).
- Experience analyzing and interpreting complex datasets.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong record of high-impact publications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, work independently, problem-solve, and meet deadlines.
