Role: Research Scientist specializing in antiviral vaccine discovery within the Infectious Disease and Vaccines department. Focuses on developing and performing in vitro virological and immunological assays to advance early-stage vaccine programs. Responsibilities include assay optimization, execution of multiparametric analyses (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, neutralization, qPCR), supporting in vivo studies with bioanalytical assessments, and precise documentation of findings. Requirements: MS in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Virology, or Immunology with at least 1 year (MS) or 3 years (BS) related experience; hands-on molecular biology, cell culture, and immunoassay skills; strong collaboration and communication abilities. Preferred skills: flow cytometry, virology techniques (virus amplification, neutralization assays), in vivo small-animal handling, mucosal immunity assays, yeast genetics, troubleshooting. High-value specifics: focus on antiviral vaccine development, assay development, early-stage vaccine research, and immunological analysis. Work setup: on-site in West Point, PA; travel not required.
