Role Summary
Join our Neuroscience Disease Area within Novartis Biomedical Research to drive human disease modeling and support drug discovery across multiple neurological disorders. This role focuses on developing iPSC-derived models and generating assays to advance preclinical programs in neurodegenerative, neuroinflammatory, and neuromuscular diseases.
Responsibilities
- Develop human iPSC-derived complex models of motor neurons and glia (microglia and astrocytes) to advance our Neuroscience preclinical program
- Generate cellular and biochemical assays for compound profiling as well as for drug-discovery target validation
- Characterize ex vivo mechanistic mouse model tissues for PKPD efficacy and for biomarker validation
- Collaborate with senior lab members, managers, and scientists to design, execute, and generate high-quality, reproducible data across multiple projects
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate/present scientific data within project teams and beyond, while maintaining accurate study records and ensuring prioritization of critical tasks
- Independently design experiments and advance assay development, while working in a highly collaborative team setting
Qualifications
