Role Summary
The Scientist, Biologics Generation & Analytics role applies to the Global Biologics Biological Generation and Analytics team. You will measure binding interactions using techniques such as SPR, BLI, and ELISA, analyze data, design and execute experiments, troubleshoot protocols, and participate in cross-functional program teams to develop analytical strategies. This position requires strong collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to contribute as an analytical representative on projects. Location: USA - MA - Cambridge - Binney St.
Responsibilities
- Determine Binding Interactions: Conduct experiments to determine binding interactions (kinetics, competition, epitope binning) using techniques such as SPR, BLI, and ELISA; work independently to interpret data with accuracy and quality; assist junior team members in designing and executing binding studies.
- Design and Execute Experiments: Design project-aligned experiments and troubleshoot issues to optimize protocols.
- Contribute to Program Teams: Represent the analytics team and provide strategic input for binding and pre-developability; collaborate with program teams to implement analytical strategies; provide scientific input to ensure cohesive strategy development and execution.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively communicate findings and strategies with cross-functional teams; lead binding discussions in team meetings.
- Team Collaboration: Work as a collaborative team member, share knowledge, and foster cross-functional communication to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Required: PhD in a scientific discipline (or equivalent), or MS with 6+ years relevant experience, or BS with 8+ years relevant experience
- Required: Experience in SPR and BLI; Carterra experience preferred but not required
- Required/Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot experiments and perform method development
- Preferred: Biophysical capabilities such as cIEF, CE-SDS, SEC, NanoDSF
