Role: Bioinformatics scientist supporting biologics discovery within AbbVie's Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine (BGM) group. Objectives: develop and optimize digital workflows, data capture, and visualization tools to enhance operational efficiency in biologics R&D, including biologics and genetic medicines like AAV, LNPs, siRNA.
Responsibilities: collaboratively design and pilot software and AI tools, implement standard analyses and visualizations, and serve as a technical liaison with informatics vendors. Ensure integrated, harmonized wet-lab data capture and communicate workflow improvements to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications: BS/MS in scientific discipline or bioinformatics with 2-7+ years of experience; strong molecular biology and assay knowledge; proficiency with bioinformatics platforms (e.g., Prism, Geneious, Benchling), programming skills in Python and SQL/R, and experience developing dashboards (Power BI, Tableau). Hands-on assay data collection and processing experience preferred.
