Role: Scientist in Protein Sciences focusing on antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) assembly and analysis. Primary objectives include developing conjugation strategies, optimizing reactions and purification, troubleshooting, and analytical characterization of ADCs. Responsibilities encompass performing chemical conjugation reactions with various antibody formats, driving automation for high-throughput processes, collaborating with biology teams to meet project timelines, and maintaining meticulous electronic records. Qualifications: PhD with 0-3 years relevant experience; strong expertise in ADC chemistry, conjugation techniques (stochastic and site-specific), and analysis methods (IEX, HIC, SEC, mass spectrometry). Industry experience (0-2 years preferred), proficiency with Agilent/AKTA systems, and knowledge of recombinant protein characterization are desired. High-value specifics include work on antibody conjugates, with an emphasis on antibody formats (IgG, Fab, scFv, bispecific), and familiarity with linker design and ligand/target validation technologies (BLI, SPR). The role requires independent, detail-oriented, and adaptable scientists capable of managing multiple projects and mentoring associates. Location: onsite in Cambridge, MA.
