Role: Analytical chemist in Lilly’s Synthetic Molecule Design and Development team, focusing on developing and optimizing analytical methods for small molecule drug candidates from early development through manufacturing readiness. Responsibilities: perform chromatographic and complementary analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, NMR, MS) to characterize process intermediates, validate methods, troubleshoot instrumentation, and support chemical process development; collaborate with synthetic chemists and process engineers for method transfer to GMP labs; ensure safety and scientific rigor in lab activities; communicate findings effectively. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related with 2+ years of relevant industry experience; expertise in chromatography, mass spectrometry, NMR, and method development/validation; knowledge of chemical process development and synthetic organic chemistry preferred.
