Role Purpose
- Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics to determine chemical and physical properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation, or drug product development by verifying identity, purity, and homogeneity.
- Ascertains relationships between molecular structure and physical/biological properties to aid in compound/molecule analysis.
Major accountabilities
- Effectively runs complex experiments and brings new techniques into the lab.
- Manages time efficiently; prioritizes when designing/undertaking experimental plans.
- Analyzes and communicates results to department/project meetings.
- Broadens technical knowledge via departmental activities, literature reading, and experiential learning.
- Applies knowledge of the drug discovery and/or early development pipeline to identify complex problems, propose innovative solutions, and drive implementation.
- Serves as a key member of drug discovery/technology/development project teams with regular accountability in own expertise area.
- Designs/executes experiments and identifies next steps from analysis of own data and others’ data.
- Independently modifies existing lab techniques and implements techniques new to the lab.
- Communicates results/conclusions to project meetings; may contribute to internal/external publications (relevant sections).

- Discoveries/developments; experiment methods; adherence to company policies/guidelines; project/stakeholder feedback; successful execution of assigned tasks/work packages; effective team interactions.
Compensation & benefits (if applicable)
- Expected salary range: $103,600–$192,400/year.
- Performance-based cash incentive; potential eligibility for annual equity awards.
