      Role Summary
 Scientist to join the iPSC Systems team within the Human Biology - Target Discovery department at GSK's Upper Providence research facility. This lab-based role focuses on advancing iPSC-derived translational models for neurodegenerative diseases, with emphasis on Alzheimer's Disease. Requires expertise in iPSC culture/differentiation, molecular biology, data analysis, automated liquid handling, and data analysis experience.
 
 Responsibilities
 
 - Develop physiological and disease-relevant cellular models and refine assays to achieve research objectives.
 
 - Communicate experimental findings effectively, both in writing and verbally, to stakeholders.
 
 - Ensure compliance with all GSK R&D integrity practices, ethical codes, standards, and safety protocols.
 
 - Collaborate in a matrix team environment, contributing to high scientific standards and project success.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 - Required: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, or related field, with 5+ or 3+ years of experience in iPSC-model development.
 
 - Required: Expertise in iPSC culture and differentiation.
 
 - Required: Experience in genetic, proteomic, imaging, and other 'omics technologies analytical pipelines.
 
 - Required: Experience in neurodegenerative diseases.
 
 - Required: Experience analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting experimental data with meticulous record-keeping.
 
 - Preferred: Experience in programming and operating automated liquid handling systems.
 
 - Preferred: Strong relationship-building, adaptable thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
 
 - Preferred: Experience conducting perturbation studies using tool compounds and gene editing techniques, preferably CRISPRn/i/a.
