Key responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment (e.g., Mass Spectrometers and/or HPLCs) for laboratory operation.
- Develop and validate analytical methods to quantify drugs and metabolites in biological matrices to support bioequivalence and other pharmacokinetics studies (with supervision).
- Document laboratory activity according to established procedures.
- Review and write reports.
- Assist in troubleshooting analytical problems during study runs.
- Serve as a scientific/technical information resource for junior laboratory staff.
- Review data and associated documentation for scientific soundness and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Write and revise analytical methods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 4–7 years of experience; Doctorate (0–2 years), Master’s (4 years), or Bachelor’s (8 years) preferred (education/experience combinations considered).
- Knowledge of quantitative bioanalysis techniques/instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, mass spectrometry, laboratory automation, sample preparation) and familiarity with GLP regulations.
- Strong oral/written communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel and instrument-specific control/data acquisition software.
- Ability to read/interpret complex technical documents; write comprehensive reports and correspondence; collaborate and present to departments.
- Problem-solving ability using semi-standardized solutions and prescribed/detailed procedures.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
