Scientist 1, Oncology | Drug Discovery (Onsite 5 days/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & optimize complex bioassays and target-binding potency assays critical for complex biotherapeutics; identify and optimize new methods to produce reliable, reproducible data in a timely manner.
- Develop new techniques; explore approaches/technologies; perform troubleshooting and optimization experiments; present work to cross-functional teams.
- Read and adapt scientific literature to complete assignments and demonstrate broad, versatile technical expertise.
Qualifications
- MS degree in biology, biochemistry, cell/molecular biology, pharmacology, and/or toxicology (or related field) and 1 year working in an academic and/or industry setting as a development scientist.
- 1 year experience developing binding potency assays (ELISA, TR-FRET, Octet, flow cytometry, and/or other cell-based formats) to characterize/test protein therapeutics (monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, and/or other biologic modalities).
- Independently design and conduct critical experiments.
- Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional scientific environment in an oncology discovery research organization.
- Author technical reports, draft SOPs, write biology sections of regulatory filings, and give scientific presentations to peers/management.
