Scientific Lead, Translational Sciences

Role: Scientific Lead, Translational Sciences, focusing on preclinical cancer biology within Lilly Oncology. Objectives: develop and optimize molecular and cellular assays, interpret experimental data in the context of therapeutic mechanisms, and translate findings into biomarker hypotheses and combination strategies for clinical progression. Responsibilities: design experiments to evaluate compounds, investigate resistance mechanisms, and evaluate combination therapies; represent science in project teams, prepare reports and publications; stay abreast of emerging technologies; mentor junior scientists. Requirements: Ph.D. in Molecular or Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years postdoctoral or industry experience, or equivalent with extensive biopharma experience (8+ years MS, 10+ years B.S.). Skills: proven assay development expertise, proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, sequencing, flow cytometry), strong data analysis skills, and knowledge of oncogenic signaling, tumor metabolism, or immuno-oncology preferred.
