Role: Scientific Associate Director leading medicinal chemistry efforts within Bristol Myers Squibb's Protein Homeostasis Research Center in San Diego, focusing on oncology indications. Responsibilities: oversee end-to-end drug discovery programs from initial chemistry through IND, applying modern design approaches with structural biology, ADME, and computational tools; collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to shape portfolio strategy; mentor and lead a scientific team; communicate program strategies and data to senior leadership; drive strategic and operational decisions within the San Diego chemistry organization. Requirements: Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with 8+ years in pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry; or MS with 10+ years; or BS with 12+ years industry experience; at least 4 years leading drug discovery programs. Experience in protein degradation or induced proximity is a plus.
