Role Summary
SAP Analyst - Supply Chain - Manufacturing supports the startup and ongoing operation of a greenfield manufacturing site in Lebanon, IN, focusing on integrated logistics and SAP/MES system integration. The role guides material flow from inbound to outbound, supports shop-floor material provisioning, and ensures SAP functionality aligns with other supply chain systems such as MES, LIMS, Yard Management, and Transportation Management. The position requires understanding of SAP capabilities and system thinking to optimize user experience and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Understand how logistics applications integrate with MES and Process Automation.
- Support the implementation of the site’s SAP solution including EWM.
- Be forward thinking regarding technical evolutions in the Supply Chain systems landscape to improve user experience or functionality.
- Contribute to projects, assess business impact, and evaluate/recommend technical options.
- Support site implementation activities, integration with other site functions, and site preparation activities.
- Provide support to production and day-to-day warehousing activities once the site is live.
- Collaborate with multiple business areas to gather requirements and create cross-functional solutions.
- Promote process improvement and innovation to drive business process optimization.
- Assist in curriculum development and training of users.
- Adhere to corporate computer systems validation policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- Two (2) years of SAP experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; project and/or implementation experience preferred
- Experience in SAP modules PP, MM, and LE
- Familiarity with BOMs and Master Recipes
- Experience as a system analyst or similar; experienced in gathering and translating user requirements
Additional Skills
- Experience in SAP EWM and QM modules are a bonus
- SDLC knowledge: understanding the process of developing information systems
- cGMP familiarity in regulated industries
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Project management and leadership abilities (highly recommended)
- Effective interpersonal communication and relationship-building
- Ability to work with occasional supervision
- Strong memory, time management, decision-making, critical thinking, and ability to handle repetitive tasks
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
