Role Summary
The SILC Cluster Senior Director is a key leadership role within the Sanofi Integrated Launch Capabilities (SILC) organization. This role partners with the SILC Cluster Head to implement and maintain launch excellence standards for assets across Sanofi, driving operational excellence and consistent launch frameworks across Global Business Units and Regions. It also ensures the seamless integration of SILC Initiatives (Foundations, SILC SUITE & GenAI, SILC Quants, and Data & Simulation) and uses data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in launch activities. Location: Morristown, NJ or Cambridge, MA.
Responsibilities
- Implement SILC Initiatives to drive adoption of SILC launch tools and facilitate high impact launches that exceed expectations.
- Work cross functionally, with Global Brand Teams, Country Launch Teams, and other SILC teams, to develop launch plans/blueprints using SILC Foundations.
- Continually monitor and update progress of launch activities using SILC Quants.
- Support the development and maintenance of launch standards and frameworks within SILC Initiatives, in collaboration with SILC Strategy & Operations.
- Lead specific launch workstreams focused on implementing SILC Initiatives activities for products and therapeutic areas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of SILC Initiatives through enhancement beta testing initiatives, coordinated with Strategy & Operations, capturing learnings and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze launch performance data to identify improvement opportunities and inform SILC Framework refinements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive launch documentation, playbooks, and guidance materials in the SILC Framework.
- Track adoption of SILC Initiatives across products, regions, and functional teams and partner with teams to understand accelerators/barriers to adoption.
- Using SILC Data and Simulation tools, conduct assessments to ensure launch readiness and compliance with established standards.
- Document lessons learned and best practices from launch executions.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the SILC Initiatives platforms, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction.
- Seek input from end users and coordinate with Strategy & Operations and digital teams on SILC Initiatives enhancements, feature prioritization, and technical requirements.
- Support Strategy & Operations in the development and pilot implementation of Gen AI use cases within the launch ecosystem.
- Lead user testing initiatives and systematically collect feedback to inform platform improvements coordinated with Strategy & Operations.
- Support proof of concept implementations for new platform capabilities, including AI applications.
- Provide cross-functional coordination to ensure effective execution across teams.
- Facilitate collaboration between SILC function (e.g., Cluster Teams, Strategy & Operations, Change Management, and Commercial Excellence), Global Brand Teams, GBU franchise teams, and functional teams (Commercial, Medical, Market Access).
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on launch standards development.
- Support knowledge sharing initiatives and best practice documentation across the organization.
- Manage stakeholder communications and engagement activities related to launch excellence.
- Organize and facilitate working sessions, workshops, and alignment meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across global and local teams.
- Ensure clear communication of launch standards, updates, and expectations.
- Lead data analysis of launch performance across the portfolio, in coordination with Strategy & Operations' Data & Simulation SILC tools and workstream.
- Collaborate with Strategy & Operations on data simulation and impact analysis initiatives, including the Launch Simulator.
- Support Mission Control functionality by contributing to pre-launch metrics definition, trend analysis, and insights generation.
- Create dashboards and reports that analyze trends, barriers, and accelerators for leadership to track launch excellence metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in launch execution; translate data insights into actionable recommendations for launch teams.
- Support agile development processes for continuous platform and framework enhancement.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for launch readiness and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with SILC Commercial Excellence to conduct benchmarking analyses against industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Required: Experience with pharma launches across Commercial, Medical, and/or Market Access functions.
- Preferred: Prior US market or specialty pharma experience.
- Preferred: Vaccine experience.
- Required: Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams in a global, matrix environment.
- Required: Experience in strategy implementation or operations excellence, with ability to translate strategic initiatives into operational execution.
- Required: Track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes.
- Required: Track record of driving organizational transformation.
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI and data simulation applications in pharma launch contexts.
- Required: Track record of translating data into insights.
- Preferred: Previous consultancy experience.
