Operations
Scope of the Role (Sanitizer)
- Responsible for environmental cleaning and sanitation of the process equipment and Manufacturing area on a daily basis.
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning checklists.
- Responds to out-of-trend cleaning data for root cause investigation.
- Prepares and documents cleaning solutions and prepares cleaning equipment for use (manually lifting/moving equipment and/or chemicals).
- Verifies concentrations and effectiveness of sanitation solutions.
- Trained on chemical handling and use.
- Willing and able to be cross-trained on different pieces of machinery in production.
- Operates and navigates computer and various applications.
- On occasion assists Operators with labor duties related to CIP’s, normal dry cleans, wet washes, assembly/disassembly of equipment, silo switches, start ups & shut downs; processes/handles animal feed and rework while complying with GMP, SOPs, and work instructions; operates a vacuum sealing machine.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma (or GED) required (verified prior to start).
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to follow safety protocols, SOPs/WIs, regulatory signage, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform duties in a safe, efficient and sanitary manner.
- Ability to operate and navigate a computer and various systems/applications.
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Ability to write legibly for documentation.
- Basic math and reading/comprehension skills.
- Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment per zoning requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Bending, stooping and lifting up to 55 pounds regularly.
- Standing and walking for 10+ hours per shift.
- Exposed to noise, extreme warm temperatures, chemicals, and industrial equipment/supplies.
- Able to wear required safety equipment/garments.
- Work from ladders, scaffolding and staging.
