Sample Management Manager

Role: Lead and manage biobank operations within Natera’s R&D, focusing on clinical diagnostic sample lifecycle management, including biobanking, cold chain logistics, and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities: develop and enforce procedures for sample intake, storage, tracking, and distribution; oversee LIMS and ensure regulatory adherence (GMP, GLP, ISO); lead a team in a high-stakes clinical environment, optimizing workflows through data-driven approaches; manage operational resources, budgets, and performance; ensure quality and compliance in sample handling and documentation; and support R&D initiatives for process improvements. Requirements: BS/BA in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field; 8+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years of team management; strong knowledge of molecular biology, GMP, and quality systems; proficiency in LIMS, data analysis, and wet lab operations; excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred: Master’s degree and experience with biorepository sample management. High-value: managing clinical samples in a regulated, fast-paced environment; ensuring compliance with industry standards; supporting development of cfDNA diagnostic tests for oncology, women’s health, or organ health.
