Role Summary
As a Sales Representative, Companion Animal Business Unit, you will be responsible for achieving sales objectives within an assigned geography by promoting Elancoβs companion animal portfolio. This field-based role plays a critical part in product launches, distributor leadership, and strengthening relationships within the veterinary community.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets for Elanco companion animal products within an assigned territory
- Provide leadership and direction to distributor representatives within the territory
- Develop, execute, and manage a territory business plan aligned to key growth objectives
- Drive product placement and execution with targeted veterinary accounts
- Partner with veterinary associations and support state VMA meetings and product launch activities
Qualifications
- Required: Education β Bachelorβs degree
- Required: Experience β Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceuticals or equivalent competitive sales experience, including prior Elanco internship experience
- Required: Core Skills β Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, plan, and execute effectively
- Preferred: Ability to influence without direct authority
- Preferred: Strong presentation skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences
- Preferred: Strategic thinking and decision-making in ambiguous environments
- Preferred: In-depth knowledge of the companion animal veterinary market and products
- Preferred: Advanced degree in business or a related field
