Role Summary

As a Sales Representative, Companion Animal Business Unit, you will be responsible for achieving sales objectives within an assigned geography by promoting Elanco’s companion animal portfolio. This field-based role plays a critical part in product launches, distributor leadership, and strengthening relationships within the veterinary community.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for Elanco companion animal products within an assigned territory
  • Provide leadership and direction to distributor representatives within the territory
  • Develop, execute, and manage a territory business plan aligned to key growth objectives
  • Drive product placement and execution with targeted veterinary accounts
  • Partner with veterinary associations and support state VMA meetings and product launch activities

Qualifications

  • Required: Education β€” Bachelor’s degree
  • Required: Experience β€” Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceuticals or equivalent competitive sales experience, including prior Elanco internship experience
  • Required: Core Skills β€” Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, plan, and execute effectively
  • Preferred: Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Preferred: Strong presentation skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences
  • Preferred: Strategic thinking and decision-making in ambiguous environments
  • Preferred: In-depth knowledge of the companion animal veterinary market and products
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in business or a related field
