As an S&OP Analyst supporting the Supply Chain function, a team that manages inventory and supply chain analytics for Alcon's leading industry products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The primary responsibility of an S&OP Analyst is to own and improve the demand planning inputs and cadence within the S&OP cycle consolidating cross‑functional inputs, analyzing trends and forecast performance, and turning that into clear, decision-ready insights and materials so the organization can align supply and demand over the planning horizon. In this role, a typical day will include: Own demand data inputs for the S&OP cycle; analyze trends, bias, and forecast accuracy to improve the baseline plan focusing on the 3-to-24-month horizon Analyze and communicate cycle-over-cycle changes to the demand plan (e.g., prior cycle vs. current), quantifying key drivers and downstream impacts Maintain and validate key planning master data (product hierarchy, customer/market mappings, calendars, assumptions) to ensure consistent, reliable demand planning outputs Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance to review demand drivers, promotions, and key assumptions; document inputs and decisions for the S&OP cycle Generate new product launch forecasts by partnering cross-functionally to capture assumptions (timing, volumes, phase-in), model scenarios, and incorporate launch demand into the S&OP plan Enable product rationalization initiatives by analyzing item-level demand and inventory impacts, maintaining phase-out/transition plans, and updating the demand plan and assumptions accordingly Lead demand review discussions by developing insights, identifying risks/opportunities, and recommending actions to improve plan quality and cross‑functional alignment Partner with S&OE to communicate demand plan changes, review short-term exceptions, and align on priorities and execution impacts Monitor and report key planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, demand volatility, and inventory health) and clearly communicate drivers, risks, and recommended actions Prepare clear executive-ready S&OP materials (assumptions, scenarios, decisions, and actions) and track follow-ups to closure Ensure adherence to GxP requirements by following SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, and completing required training Maintain complete and compliant records to support audit readiness and regulatory expectations Drive continuous improvement by standardizing data, improving planning parameters, and enhancing tools/reporting to increase S&OP effectiveness WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Administration, engineering or related.)
