POSITION SUMMARY
This position will provide field-based technical support to Territory Business Managers and Strategic Account Managers in Colorado, Western Kansas, California and the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities include direct customer interaction, account and call planning, and influencing key Consulting Nutritionists in the region. Additional responsibilities may include field research support, Learning and Development support in onboarding/training new sales team members, and collaborating with marketing regarding technical messaging.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise in cattle performance enhancement and nutrition.
- Understand and apply data supporting performance enhancement technologies.
- Meet regularly with key opinion leaders and beef value chain leadership to ensure successful implementation.
- Provide technical advice for routine inquiries and assist team members.
- Collaborate with the U.S. Zoetis Beef Sales Team on the Beef Operations Plan.
- Partner with field colleagues to develop targeted account strategies.
- Create territory action plans in collaboration with sales teammates.
- Collaborate with R&D on research using performance enhancement technologies.
- Support customer-focused business development plans and resource allocation.
- Plan call cycles, maximize team time/resources, and ensure follow-up.
- Deliver technical training using tools such as PowerPoint.
- Provide technical training focused on Synovex implants and related production management technologies.
- Advise Learning and Development on technical training content as required.
- Provide specialty support to other areas as directed.
- Build relationships with nutritionists, meat scientists, veterinarians, extension/university personnel, packing plant employees and other consultants.
- Participate in special projects and tactical implementation (e.g., sales material review, new product launch teams).
- Provide accurate, timely documentation of activities and customer interactions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- PhD in Ruminant Nutrition.
- Preferred: 3+ years postdoctoral experience in cattle industry/academia/research/feed company.
- Masters-level/equivalent meat science knowledge (highly desirable).
- Dairy calf industry experience (beneficial).
- Research experience and published scientific papers (desirable).
- Extensive Zoetis product/animal health industry knowledge or ability to learn quickly.
- Spanish not necessary but useful.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong communication and problem-solving; effective team collaboration; build customer confidence.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office) and ability to learn internal systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated leadership and strategy execution.
- Strategic thinking.
- Good judgment and fair decision-making.
- Ability to influence Senior Management and cross-functional groups.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license.
- Extensive travel (60–70% weeknights out).

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS (from posting)
- Base salary range: $106,000–$152,000 (full-time).
- Eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.
