Rheumatology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) β TX, NM, OK, MO (field-based)
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing
- Lead projects through the promotional review process; ensure regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes are followed and deadlines are met
- Manage strategy, execution, and budgeting for national/regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer education programming
- Evaluate marketing tactics and recommend brand optimization opportunities to leadership
- Provide in-depth insights to address brand key business questions and inform marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development
- Lead partnerships with field leadership to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies
- Understand the competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence within assigned geography
- Coordinate external vendors and internal departments (Agency Partners, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, IT)
Thought Leader Engagement
- Identify, build, and strengthen relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient/professional associations
- Develop and execute regional engagement plans for External Experts throughout the year
- Connect integrated brand teams and external/internal stakeholders to support collaboration aligned to objectives and compliant with industry standards
Key Skills
- Verbal and non-verbal presentation skills (live/virtual) to engage internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Cross-functional collaboration and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to operate in a matrix organization to drive decision-making and brand performance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 2+ years in sales, sales management, or marketing with Rheumatology/Immunology experience (preferred)
- Travel up to 60% (evenings/weekends)
- Drive personal or company vehicle (or powered material handling equipment)
- Valid driverβs license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
