Rheumatology Thought Leader Liaison I/II – Southwest Region

Rheumatology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) — field-based (TX, NM, OK, MO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects compliantly through the promotional review process; follow regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes; deliver high-quality work on time.
- Manage strategy, execution, and budgeting for national/regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and commercial peer-to-peer education programming.
- Evaluate marketing tactics effectiveness; make strategic recommendations to optimize the brand.
- Provide in-depth insights based on key brand business questions to guide marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development.
- Lead partnerships with field leadership to optimize marketing strategy pull-through.
- Understand assigned geography’s competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
- Coordinate direction and deliverables for multiple external vendors and internal departments (Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Office of Ethics and Compliance, IT).
Thought Leader Engagement:
- Identify, build, and strengthen relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient/professional associations.
- Develop regional engagement plans and ensure consistent year-round tactical execution.
- Connect Integrated Brand Teams with external/internal stakeholders to enable collaboration based on aligned objectives, in compliance with industry standards.
Key Skills:
- Strong verbal/non-verbal communication and presentation skills (live/virtual).
- Collaborative, cross-functional work; influence without direct authority to drive results.
- Ability to work in a field/headquarters matrix environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or marketing; Rheumatology/Immunology experience preferred.
- Travel up to 60% (including evenings/weekends).
- Drive personal or company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
