Rheumatology Institutional Specialist – Miami

Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy to drive formulary adoption of rheumatology brands and appropriate utilization.
- Create, organize, and execute strategic business plans for key priority hospitals in designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop/sustain institution-specific plans aligned to local market dynamics.
- Apply expertise in disease area, market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends to identify and navigate opportunities.
- Deliver product/disease presentations and share approved clinical data with physicians; establish key hospital relationships with clinicians and decision-makers.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) for hospital accounts and develop/revise strategies to meet access and sales targets.
- Assess customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and HQ teams; help implement new strategies.
- Assist Area Business Leaders in identifying opportunities and diagnosing business/implementation challenges.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare or related industries with geographically dispersed teams; includes 2+ years in hospital sales (or equivalent) managing sophisticated accounts (including large academic centers) within past 5 years.
- Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge; proven cross-functional collaboration.
- Live within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80% and drive/fly within territory; valid unrestricted driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups/disease states, account strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.
Driving is essential; accommodations possible without eliminating driving.
