Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Development, the Retention Specialist supports overall participant recruitment and retention with an operational focus. Works with research coordinators, investigators, and study teams to provide participant support, address concerns, and implement engagement strategies to encourage continued participation.

Job Responsibilities
- Support design and execution of patient recruitment, collaborating with study teams to identify target population and outreach strategies.
- Develop and implement study plans for recruitment and retention.
- Build and maintain relationships with sites, CROs, and vendors supporting recruitment and retention.
- Extend connections to advocacy groups and organizations that support clinical trial recruitment and retention.
- Conduct market research to understand patient needs and barriers to participation and use findings to plan recruitment/retention strategies.
- Create site- and participant-facing documents/materials to define recruitment and/or retention direction and support.

Qualifications
- BSN/Master of Science preferred; bachelor’s in Life Science with 6+ years of relevant experience considered.
- Studies in Dietetics or Nutrition; experience in chronic weight management with GLP1s is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the clinical trial process; ability to develop and implement recruitment/retention strategies.
- Strong analytical skills; experience analyzing trial metrics and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines across cross-functional groups.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Travel Required
- US-based travel to clinical research sites and meetings: 40–50%.

Benefits/Compensation
- Anticipated base pay range: $140,000–$178,000 (exact depends on factors including geography, qualifications, skills, and experience). Eligible for annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity; medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401k match; unlimited PTO; paid holidays including winter shutdown.
