Role Summary

The Retail Channel Manager drives the expansion of vaccine and pharmaceutical products in the retail sector by managing relationships with key retail accounts, executing strategic market plans, and ensuring successful product launch and adoption. The role requires expertise in sales, contracting, and market access to achieve sales targets while fostering strong customer relationships. Location: Northeast US including Western PA, Western NY, WV, DC, DE; reside in the geography; relocation assistance is not provided. The role reports to the Retail Channel Manager Lead and acts as the retail pharmacy subject matter expert within the Regional Sales Lead team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for GSK's retail vaccine and pharmaceutical products.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key retail accounts, including large pharmacy chains and independent retailers.
  • Conduct consultative selling to retail partners, providing comprehensive product knowledge and addressing queries with ethical compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and supply chain, to ensure seamless delivery and support for retail customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account progress in CRM systems.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and expand professional networks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all activities.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Required: 5+ years of combined experience in the following areas: Vaccines Sales or Account Management, Retail Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sales, Contracting, Payer, or Marketing
  • Required: Up to 55% travel; must reside near a major airport
  • Required: Valid Driver's License
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a retail account manager for either vaccines or pharmaceutical products
  • Preferred: Strong record of high performance and consistent results
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge of large account selling
