Research Technician I, In Vivo Husbandry

Role: Research Technician I supporting vivarium husbandry at Arrowhead’s San Diego facility, ensuring daily animal care and room upkeep. Responsibilities: perform health checks, cage changes, animal receiving, ear tagging, and sanitation; assist with colony management and study documentation; support operational tasks including inventory management; conduct weekend and holiday health checks. Requirements: high school diploma with 1+ years’ experience working with rodents in a research setting; animal husbandry, restraint, handling skills preferred; strong attention to detail and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Biology, Vet Tech, or similar, or equivalent experience. High-value biopharma specifics: supporting preclinical rodent models for RNAi-based therapeutics; focus on quality animal care within regulated GxP environments. Work setup: onsite in San Diego, 5 days/week, with weekend/holiday duties.
