Role: Research Technician supporting preclinical animal studies, ensuring proper study conduct and animal well-being in compliance with SOPs, regulations, and guidelines. Responsibilities: perform daily clinical observations, administer treatments via various routes, collect biological samples, assist in surgical procedures, monitor animals, perform euthanasia and necropsy, maintain detailed records, manage supplies, and support facility upkeep. Qualifications: associate degree or equivalent in biology or life sciences; 2 years' experience as a vet tech or 1 year research experience with large animals; proficiency in data management and computer applications. Preferred: bachelor's degree, veterinary technician certification, AALAS certification, and experience in surgical or post-op care. High-Value: animal research, preclinical testing, GLP compliance, surgical support, biological sample collection, and laboratory recordkeeping. Work setup involves on-site presence with travel to various locations; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and perform manual tasks. This position may be offered at different levels based on experience and education, with compensation ranging from $21-$25/hr, plus benefits including health coverage, PTO, and 401K.
