Position Details
The Research Scientist β Ruminant leads and executes the beef and dairy scientific program for animal health and nutrition research at the Phibro Innovation Center, focusing on nutritional specialty products (NSP) and medicated feed additives (MFA). Design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, write reports, and draw conclusions and future research directions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research trial planning and execution
- Develop and maintain a long-term R&D plan
- Develop trial protocols and final study reports
- Use Innovation Center capabilities to address research questions/hypotheses
- Stay current on ruminant nutrition, microbiome, immunity, MFA, and related areas
- Direct data collection and management of animal/lab samples
- Lead teams of laboratory and field technicians to complete data collection/analysis
- Support daily animal management and care (feeding, treating, aftercare as needed)
- Analyze data using statistical methods/software; draw meaningful conclusions
- Maintain accurate research records (protocols, regulatory documents, data)
- Write scientific papers/reports/articles for publication
- Present findings at conferences/seminars
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and animal unit bio-safety containment
- Identify and implement innovative solutions; other tasks as directed by management

Education & Experience
- PhD in animal nutrition, physiology, immunology, or related field

Compensation
- $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
