Pharmacology Research Scientist (Pain Pharmacology) β San Diego
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and execute pharmacology studies focused on ion channel modulation.
- Develop cellular models to study neuronal excitation, action potential propagation, and neurotransmitter release.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate pharmacological data to project teams.
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate advanced tools into workflows.
- Ensure high standards of scientific documentation and communication.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of ion channel pharmacology.
- Experience with assays related to neuronal signaling and excitability.
- Experience with electrophysiological and imaging techniques using primary cells, including human cells.
- Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret cellular assays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed work environment.

Education and Experience
- PhD and 0β3 years, OR
- Masterβs degree and 3 years, OR
- Bachelorβs degree and 6 years.
Pay Range
- $110,900 - $166,300
Role Flexibility
- On-site; five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
