Role: Research Scientist I/II focused on lentiviral vector production and purification within Novartis's Cell and Gene Therapy research, supporting CAR-T programs. Responsibilities: perform hands-on viral vector purification (clarification, chromatography, TFF), conduct analytical assessments of vector quality, develop and review protocols, SOPs, and reports, troubleshoot experiments, analyze data, and collaborate across teams for process optimization and knowledge sharing. Requirements: BS/MS in bioengineering, virology, or related field; 1–3 years in viral vector or protein purification; experience with chromatography, filtration, and aseptic techniques; proficiency in molecular biology and analytical testing; strong communication and collaboration skills. Desirable: BSL2 experience with AAV, lentiviral, or retroviral vectors; bioreactor familiarity. High-Value: viral vector manufacturing, lentiviral vectors, CAR-T therapy support, hands-on purification and analytical techniques, process development, collaborative research environment. Location: Cambridge, MA, onsite, no relocation support. Compensation: $66,800–$124,000 (Scientist I) or $81,200–$150,800 (Scientist II), plus performance incentives and benefits.
