Role: Research Scientist in Takeda's Gastrointestinal and Inflammation (GI2) Drug Discovery Unit, focusing on creating novel therapeutics for GI, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases. Responsibilities: lead research projects from conception to candidate selection, generate rigorous data, apply scientific insights, and contribute to team discussions; involves experimental design, data analysis, and reporting. Requirements: PhD in a scientific discipline (or MS with 6+ years, BS with 8+ years relevant experience), proven expertise in inflammation/immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology; experience with flow cytometry, primary immune cells, cytokine assays, qPCR, gene editing, and in vitro/in vivo efficacy studies. Preferred: background in inflammatory bowel disease.
