Primary function:
- Leverage animal models for preclinical translational research; assess target and biological pathway modulation; establish PK/PD relationships with therapeutic candidates.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Provide in vivo technical support to ensure timely completion and success of research projects.
- Perform drug dosing in mice and rats via IV, PO, IP, and SC routes.
- Conduct in-life blood collections (e.g., submental, tail vein) or terminal collection via cardiac puncture.
- Perform necropsy procedures including rodent perfusion and gross anatomical tissue harvesting.
- Prepare studies including tube labeling and sample management.
- Stay current on relevant lab techniques and technologies.
- Document procedures and results thoroughly.
- Collaborate with scientists across the organization for timely data generation.
- Work schedule may require evenings/weekends/holidays to support in vivo procedures.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Typically 0β2 yearsβ experience with a BS in a related scientific discipline; industry experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with both mice and rats (handling, dosing, tissue collection); surgical experience a plus.
- Proficiency in animal welfare and knowledge for animal care and use.
- Independent, highly organized, detail-oriented; able to multi-task across multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable):
- Salary range: $90,000β$117,000. Includes 401(k), healthcare coverage, and ESPP.
