Internal Job Title: Research Scientist II (Cambridge, MA, onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic data analysis to interpret own experiments across learned assays; assess whether hypotheses were appropriately tested and answered.
- Demonstrate awareness of other departmental activities related to assigned projects.
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary setting; train junior associates as needed.
- Present research and participate constructively in working project teams and lab meetings.
Essential Requirements / Qualifications
- MS (or equivalent) in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or related field with <2 years experience; OR BS/apprenticeship (or equivalent) with >2 years relevant drug discovery/laboratory research experience. Not a PhD-level position.
- Direct experience in antibody characterization by surface plasmon resonance (e.g., Biacore).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated Novartis Values & Behaviors.

- High flexibility with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Binding characterization background using Fortebio, Kinexa, flow cytometry, LigandTracer and functional assay development (e.g., ELISA).
- Experience with mammalian cell culture.
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected salary range: $81,200β$150,800/year.
- Performance-based cash incentive; potential eligibility for annual equity awards.
