Brief Description
Responsible for designing and executing experiments on the efficacy and mechanism of action of anticancer compounds, with a focus on neuro-oncology. Document and archive experimental protocols, data, analyses, and conclusions. Contribute research to publications, conference presentations, abstracts, and patent applications. Full-time laboratory-based position.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Manage cell culture of cancers, including neurospheres
- Perform in vitro efficacy, mechanism of action, target validation, and biomarker studies with cancer therapeutics (emphasis on CNS tumor models)
- Create stable cell lines with CRISPR and inducible expression of relevant biomarkers
- Create or adapt reporter systems for relevant molecular targets
- Present summary results for internal and external communications
- Support preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts
- Develop operational, data documentation, and troubleshooting procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bench experience: 5+ years industry or post-doctoral experience dedicated to neuro-oncology
- Expertise in neuro-oncology biology and therapeutics
- Experience with oncology and pharmacology assays/techniques
- Exceptional written/verbal communication (publications, conference presentations)
- Highly organized team player managing multiple projects with minimal oversight
- Forward-thinking, proactive problem-solving
- Computer proficient; can drive multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to set goals/timelines and monitor progress; strong urgency
- Hands-on, adaptable in changing priorities; matrix/cross-functional success; high attention to detail

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
- Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or related fields, or master’s degree with relevant experience.
