Hybrid role (minimum 2โ3 days/week on-site) at US Upper Providence site (Collegeville, PA) or UK (Stevenage; temporary then likely relocate to Cambridge/Ware by early 2029).
In this role you will:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional research pre-clinical pipeline projects that advance scientific priorities.
- Partner with project leaders, scientists, clinical teams, portfolio leaders, and external collaborators to shape plans, remove barriers, and drive delivery.
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery for assigned research pipeline projects, with clear owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve risks, dependencies, and resource constraints quickly.
- Create and maintain programme governance, reporting, and meeting cadences to keep stakeholders aligned.
- Prepare decision-ready materials for portfolio reviews and senior leadership (options and recommendations).
- Drive improvements to ways of working, tools, and metrics to increase efficiency and transparency.
- Support handover from research into later development/operational teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and acceptance criteria.
Basic Qualifications & Skills (required):
- Bachelorโs degree (or equivalent) in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline.
- Extensive project/programme management experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences.
- Experience in preclinical projects and early pharmaceutical development.
- Experience delivering complex cross-functional projects in matrix organizations.
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing at all levels.
- Risk management, project controls, and tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD/MBA).
- Formal PM certification (PMP/Prince2 or equivalent).
- Due diligence, portfolio prioritisation, or transition planning.
- Familiarity with development of clinical assets.
- KPI/performance framework design.
- Digital tools for programme tracking and collaboration.
- Clear communication presenting progress/risks/decisions.
