      Role Summary
 Research Nurse I βΓΓ¬ Daytona Beach, FL. Lead and support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials for clients, with a focus on speed and efficiency. This is a full-time, rotating shift, office/clinic-based position in Daytona Beach, FL.
 
 Responsibilities
 
 - Utilize nursing skills, knowledge, nursing diagnosis, and clinical judgement to provide a high standard of care for participants in clinical trials and respond to emergency situations based on nursing standards.
 
 - Observe participant general well-being and potential adverse events using nursing assessment skills.
 
 - Document adverse events and take appropriate action as needed.
 
 - Obtain Informed Consent and continue the ICF process by educating, explaining, and informing participants of study procedures.
 
 - Administer investigational compounds (including parenteral) to participants according to the protocol and applicable regulations.
 
 - Perform study-related activities such as cannulation, telemetry, Holters, vital signs, ECGs, and venipuncture.
 
 - Collect and process biological samples according to the study protocol and Standard Operating Procedures.
 
 - Record data in a timely, error-free manner according to the protocol and SOPs, transcribing source data onto the Case Report Form.
 
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 - AssociateβΓΓ΄s degree or BS degree in nursing with current licensure in applicable state.
 
 - Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
 
 - CPR/AED certification.
 
 - ACLS certification preferred.
 
 - 2-3 years of nursing experience.
 
 
 
 Skills
 
 - Strong clinical judgment and emergency response capabilities in a trial setting.
 
 - Excellent interpersonal skills for participant interaction and education.
 
 - Proficiency in documenting and data entry for clinical research.
 
 - Ability to administer investigational products and perform related clinical procedures.
 
 - Comfort working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
