Clinical Research and Development
Position Summary
The Research Associate II will assist with the discovery, research, and development of immunotherapies across multiple therapeutic areas, supporting experiments to generate plasmid DNA and mRNA for R&D and troubleshooting efficient production of recombinant DNA/RNA for Antibody Discovery, Vaccine Development, NK/T-Cell Therapeuties, and CAR Development.

Essential Functions
- DNA cloning (PCR, restriction digests, plasmid assembly, bacterial transformations, plasmid purifications)
- Maintain records of constructs (sequences, raw reads, QC results, stock inventory)
- In vitro transcription and RNA purifications
- Contribute to in vitro selection experiments
- Protein expression (mammalian cell culture and bacterial expression)
- Protein purification (affinity chromatography)
- Train junior personnel on basic molecular biology techniques
- Support lab duties; follow and recommend SOPs/process improvements
- Perform ad-hoc/cross-functional projects supporting business needs

Education & Experience / Requirements
- Bachelor’s in a scientific discipline + 2+ years industry OR Master’s + some industry experience
- Molecular biology: oligo design, PCR, mutagenesis, cloning, data analysis, in vitro transcription/RNA production
- Protein expression in mammalian and bacterial systems
- In vitro selection techniques (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Self-starter; fast-paced and flexible; plan/perform experiments with minimal guidance
- Troubleshoot independently; analyze data; prepare presentations
- Organized lab notebook (IND-enabling studies), use electronic/lab inventories
- Ship/receive reagents; keep organized reagent records; MS Office proficiency; collaborative

Compensation & Application
- Discretionary bonus and equity; base pay range: $81,000–$89,100 annually
