Role: Research Associate II supporting neurodegeneration research at Arc Institute and Stanford Med School, focusing on identifying pathways driving neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s using CRISPR and functional assays. Responsibilities: perform molecular and cellular experiments including cell culture, transfection, Western blot, RT-qPCR, immunostaining; conduct imaging-based screening of organelle functions (lysosomes, lipid droplets); perform lipidomics; collaborate on large-scale genetic modifier screens using stem cell-derived brain models; participate in experimental planning, analysis, troubleshooting, and data interpretation under guidance. Requirements: BS/MS in cellular biology, neuroscience, immunology, or related field; 2+ years of relevant lab experience including cell culture and cell-based assays; strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred: experience with human ESC/iPSC-derived neural/immune cells, multiomics analysis, molecular biology techniques like protein purification. HighValue: neurodegeneration, Alzheimer’s disease, CRISPR, stem cell models, multiomics, cell culture, molecular biology. WorkSetup: collaborative lab environment integrated with cross-functional teams, opportunity for career development in biomedical R&D.
