Role: Research Associate II supporting lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation development for gene editing therapies, from discovery through clinical translation. Responsibilities: design, optimize, and characterize LNP formulations with diverse lipid compositions; perform analytical characterization using techniques like DLS, NTA, HPLC, and molecular biology methods; generate reproducible data and document results; conduct mammalian cell culture and in vitro studies; contribute to platform innovation by investigating delivery mechanisms; present findings to cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: BS or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field; 2-5+ years (BS) or 0-2+ years (MS) relevant experience; hands-on expertise in LNP formulation and characterization; strong understanding of drug delivery systems, nucleic acid therapeutics, and gene editing. Preferred: experience with high-throughput screening, microfluidic mixing, ionizable lipid design, scale-up, RNA engineering, and cell transfection techniques. High-Value: focus on non-viral delivery platforms for hepatic and extra-hepatic tissues, advancing gene editing modalities, supporting preclinical to clinical development. WorkSetup: on-site roles, located in Boston; no travel specified.
