Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist ongoing optimization of processes to expand and differentiate iPS cells into various cell types under limited oversight
- Collaborate with scientists to perform and optimize cellular processes to support production of iPS-derived renal cells
- Assist in cell studies to address technical and scientific challenges to expansion and differentiation of iPSC-derived cells
- Prepare, record, and manage materials, reagents, and solutions to support cell production and tissue engineering experiments
- Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records for differentiation, isolation, expansion, and QC processes
- Record all laboratory data in the in-house data management system(s)
- Write and update SOPs for operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Conduct technical transfer of assays into the production team or internal manufacturing, as needed
- Maintain smooth lab operations (supplies, equipment monitoring, general lab support, and process improvement)
- Follow laboratory safety procedures, including PPE and handling of biohazard materials (human/animal cells and tissues)
- Meet 1:1 with managers to review results and progress

Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in a cell biology, developmental biology, or biomedical engineering environment with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture
- Knowledge of cell biology
- Ability to initiate and manage day-to-day tasks effectively (multi-tasking, flexibility, adaptability)
- Ability to independently follow experimental methods and protocols
- Technical expertise in iPS culture methods
- Comfortable in a hands-on laboratory environment; strong attention to detail and good lab practice

Preferred Qualifications:
- 0+ years’ experience with a Master’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of flow cytometry
- Technical experience in cell bioreactor culture
- Technical expertise in iPS-differentiation methods
